Magnolia Blake Thompson, 67

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Magnolia Blake Thompson of Chestertown died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, en route to the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She was 67.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in the Georgetown-Rock Hall-Fairlee Charge. She sang on the choir and served as a member of the board of trustees.

She is survived by her husband, James "Bally" Thompson of Quaker Neck; a son, Eric Thompson of Quaker Neck; a granddaughter, Brittany Thompson of Quaker Neck; two brothers, Rev. Jervis Blake Sr. and Alvin Blake Sr., both of Georgetown; two sisters, Julia Blake Griffin of Georgetown and Vernita Blake of Fairlee.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Asbury United Methodist Church, Georgetown.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the church, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Arrangements by Kenneth Walley Funeral Service, Chestertown.
