Madeline E. MeGee, 89 OCEAN VIEW - Madeline E. MeGee, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 89. She was born in Selbyville, daughter of the late Ollie and Maude (McCabe) Savage. She was a retired production line worker for Arrow Safety Device in Georgetown. She was a member of the VFW Post 7234 Ladies Auxiliary in Ocean View. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harrison MeGee Sr; her son, Charles Harrison MeGee Jr.; brothers, Ollie, Edward, Luther, Carlton and Richard Savage; and sisters, Maude Savage, Mabel Lewis, and Catherine Hudson. She is survived by her grandson, Keith MeGee; granddaughter, Kelly Stone; great-grandson, Jordan Tyler Cannon; sisters, Lilian Tingle, June Hickman, and Shirley West; and brother, William Savage. A funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue, Ocean View. Burial was in St. George's Cemetery, Clarksville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Madeline's memory to the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 64, Millville, DE 19970.
