Machell Conquest

Machell (Matthews) Conquest, 50

SELBYVILLE - Machell (Matthews) Conquest, of Selbyville, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 50.

She was the daughter of Leroy Matthews Sr. and the late Minnie Matthews.

She was a 1976 graduate of Indian River High School and was employed by the Townsend Poultry division in Millsboro for 25 years, Fenwick Inn in Ocean City and lastly as a private home health aide.

She was a lifelong member and servant of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Bishopville, Md.

She is survived by one daughter, Shontay Matthews; two grandchildren, Casjmir and Tomarra, all of Selbyville; her father, Leroy Matthews Sr. of Frankford; three brothers, Alfonzo Matthews of Delmar, Leroy Matthews Jr. of Dagsboro and Gary Matthews Sr. of Frankford; and one sister, Norma Lee Bishop of Salisbury, Md.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Bishopville, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pastor Rosie M. Hall will officiate.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Millsboro.
