Louise J. Dabson Sherwin, 82
DOVER - Louise J. Dabson Sherwin of Dover died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, in Broad Meadows Health Care, Middletown. She was 82.
Mrs. Sherwin was born July 30, 1924, in Henderson, Md., daughter of the late Walter W. and Lola M. (Seward) Jones.
She worked as the assistant civil defense director for Kent County, before retiring in 1984. She was a partner in Baywin Antiques for 10 years.
She enjoyed collecting antiques and crocheting.
Mrs. Sherwin was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Dover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alan Dabson, in 1981; and her second husband, Walter Sherwin, in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Connie and Joe Bailey and Penny and Don Gibbs, all of Dover; four grandchildren, Michael Gibbs, Todd Gibbs, Greg Bailey and Kathleen Krishnamurthy; three great-grandchildren, Arun Krishnamurthy, Jeremy Gibbs and August Gibbs.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Dover.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901.
