Louis J. Jones, 71

FELTON - Louis J. Jones, of Felton, departed this life Friday, March 14, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He was 71.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1937, in Wewahitchka, Fla., to the late John Henry and Maggie Jones.

Louis was a hard and dedicated worker.

He was employed for 40 years at Rizzo Construction in Wilmington.

Louis was a family man who provided for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Louis was known and loved by everyone he came around.

His personality was one in a million.

He loved hunting and his best friend was his dog, Rango.

Louis will be sorrowfully missed by his family, friends and loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Belin.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rena Jones of Felton; four sons, Louis Jones, Johnny Jones, Michael Jones and James Jones, all residing in Delaware; six daughters, Della Quail, Delores Jones, Regina Jones, Edna Jones, Rena Jones and Lorraine Jones, all residing in Delaware; his mother-in-law, Mary Gilliam of Millsboro; two brothers-in-law, Franklin Isaac of Washington, D.C., and Thomas C. Cooper of Magnolia; two sisters-in-law, Marie Isaac of Washington, D.C., and Lois Cooper of Magnolia; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be noon Saturday in Greater Life Christian Church, Star Hill, where friends may view two hours prior.

Burial will be at Gibbs Memorial Cemetery, Woodside.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
