Louis 'Kelly' Everett, 97
Louis "Kelly" Everett of Berlin, MD formerly of Dover, DE passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at Lakenau Medical Center in PA.
Mr. Everett was born February 24, 1925 in Sudlersville, MD the son of the late Lewis H. Everett and Blanche "Wiggins" Everett. He left school at a young age in order to work at home on the farm. He was drafted and served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Upon returning home from the Army he went to work at Walls Garage. He then went to work for Delaware Coach and most recently worked as a truck driver for DuPont and retired in 1987 after 25yrs. After retirement he enjoyed traveling the United States, going to the Casino, being outside gardening and landscaping and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Ilean Everett; one brother, Jimmy Everett; and two sisters, Dorothy Cronshaw and Florence Stevens.
He is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Peden of Berlin, MD, Brenda Barbato (Ralph) of Berlin, MD, Kay Jamison (Rick) of Berlin, MD; seven grandchildren, Tammy Kaiser (Chris) of NJ, Melissa Bloom (Dan) of Newark, DE, Amy Hrycak (Tom) of Newark, DE, Tiffany Schoonyoug (Henry) of PA, Mark Barbato (Helen) of Wilmington, DE, Jeff Jamison (Mandy) of N.C., Drew Jamison (Lauren) of VA; and twenty one great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 from 10-11am at Fellows Family Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, MD. Service will begin at 11am. Interment will be held on Wed Nov. 23, 2022 at 10am at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Bear, DE.
