FELTON - Lori Leigh Robinson, 53, beloved wife of Randall Robinson, exceptional mother to Julia Leigh, Sarah Faith and Nathan Wayne and cherished daughter of Betty Bloomquist passed after a two year battle with Leukemia on October 4th at Christiana Care. Thank you to her brother Ty, the stem cell match that gave her two extra years with all of us. Lori was born March 9, 1958, in Herkimer, N.Y., and grew up in Verona NY. She graduated from V.V.S. in 1976. Lori went on to attend Potstam, transferring to and graduating from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts. She later went on to get her master's in education from the University of Delaware. Lori was currently working as a librarian at Smyrna High School in Delaware. She had been a Girl Scout Leader, Odyssey of the Mind Coach and school yearbook advisor. Lori enjoyed reading, drinking coffee on her back porch, gardening and spending time with her loving family. Lori is survived by her mother, Betty Bloomquist and brothers and wives, Ty and Nancy Bloomquist and Chad and Heather Bloomquist; father-in-law, Jimmy Robinson; brothers-in-law and wives, Scott and Cecelia, Kevin and Nancy, and Rodney and Sue Robinson; nieces and nephews, Dan, Jason, Stephen, Hannah, Drew, Tyler, Chad (Gene), Christina and Mike. She also left two dogs at home, Belmar and Boom, who will dearly miss her games of tug-tug-noogie. Lori was preceded in death by her father Eugene Bloomquist and mother in law Phyllis Robinson. Special thanks to the excellent staff and care provided by Christiana Care especially Dr. Frank Beardell who was with her from the beginning to the very end. A gathering in remembrance of Lori will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
