Lois M. Robertson, 67

MILLSBORO - Lois M. Robertson of Millsboro, formerly of Brookhaven, Pa., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 30, 2007. She was 67.

Lois was born in Media, Pa., on May 9, 1940, to the late Earl S. and Marie T. (Dowrick) Grant.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Media, and St. Agnes School of Nursing in Philadelphia.

Lois worked as a registered nurse for Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, Pa., for more than 30 years. She briefly worked for Compassionate Care Hospice before retiring to Delaware.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed stained glass and nature.

Lois will be remembered fondly for her caring and empathetic nature, and as an unwavering advocate for the underdog and animal rights.

She had a wry sense of humor, and could find humor in almost any situation. It was this ability which most endeared her to others.

Lois is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, George A. Robertson; a son, Keith Robertson of New Bern, N.C.; two daughters, Suzanne Bobey of West Chester, Pa., and Amy DiBonaventura of Thorndale, Pa.; a brother, Earl Grant of Media; and a sister, Jeanne Ginsburg of Lima, Pa.

A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Del. 24 and Del. 297, Millsboro. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flower, the family suggests memorial contributions in Lois" name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 31038 Country Garden Blvd., Suite D2, Dagsboro, DE 19939; or to a local Humane Society.

Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro.
