Lois H. Wheatley

BRIDGEVILLE - Lois H. Wheatley passed away on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 at The Mooring at Lewes.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936 in Farmington to the late William and Kathleen Raughley Hamilton.
Lois graduated from Milford Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She continued her nursing career at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital retiring in the mid 80's.
She enjoyed painting and crafts, playing golf at the Seaford Country and Golf Club, taking trips to Florida with her late husband, and spending time at her beach home in Ocean View.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, "Bill"; and her sister, Janet Finkbiner.
She is survived by two sons, Mark (JoAnn) Wheatley and John Sr. (Suzanne) Wheatley both of Bridgeville; a grandson, John Jr. (Ashley) Wheatley; two great-grandchildren, Emmett and Macy; a brother, Louis "Bub" Hamilton; a half-sister, Robin Mellard; and a half-brother, Michael Smith.
Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St., Greenwood. Visitation one hour prior to funeral service.
Interment will be held at Bridgeville Cemetery.
