MILLINGTON, Md. - Lizzie Ann Yoder of Millington died peacefully Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at her home. She was 78.
Mrs. Yoder was born in Millersburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Abe and Lizzie J. Schrock.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Yoder was known as a very giving person and opened her home to anyone with a need.
She was very active in her church the Harmony Christian Fellowship, and enjoyed teaching Sunday school and the activities of the sewing circle.
Mrs. Yoder loved her family and found a special joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She was loved for her willing heart and helping hand.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Yoder was predeceased by one son, Wayne Yoder; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harry A. Yoder of Millington; four daughters, Ruth Schlabach of Sugar Creek, Ohio, Wilma Ebersol of Leola, Pa., Miriam Gatling of Chestertown and Arlene Beachy of Millington; two sons, Freeman Yoder and Timothy Yoder, both of Millington; two sisters, Anna Troyer of Homesville, Ohio, and Amanda Miller of Hartville, Ohio; two brothers, Andrew Schrock and Wayne Schrock, both of Catlett, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Harmony Christian Fellowship Church, Legion Road, Millington, where friends and family may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Interment will follow the services in the adjoining churchyard cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Hospice of Queen Anne's County, 300 Del Rhodes Ave. Queenstown, MD 21658-1365.
