Linda J. (Cuti) Crane, 49

DOVER - Linda J. (Cuti) Crane of Dover passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in her home. She was 49.

Mrs. Crane was born Sept. 29, 1957, in Hutchinson, Kan., daughter of Randolph L. Cuti Sr. of Melbourne, Fla., and the late Betty J. (Vater) Cuti.

She spent most of her life in Delaware. She worked as a correctional officer for the state of Delaware at the Delaware Correctional Center, Smyrna, for the last 18 years.

Mrs. Crane enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and camping in the mountains. She also enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles and cooking, as well as caring for and rescuing animals. Her biggest joy was spending time with and caring for her new granddaughter. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her father, Randolph L. Cuti Sr. of Melbourne; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jolene and Douglas Mast of Felton, and Donna Evans of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Randolph L. Jr. and Cindy Cuti of Rockledge, Fla., and Steven Cuti of Lodi, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Alana Mast.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Del. 10), where friends may call two hours earlier.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.

Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed, at torbertfuneral.com.
