Lillian Mae Flamer, 77 DOVER - Lillian Mae Flamer fell asleep in death Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at 12:30 a.m. after a courageous battle with a broken hip, dementia, Alzheimer's disease and many other problems. She passed away in the home of her daughter Arlene Flamer. She was 77. She was born on Feb. 1, 1933, in Ridgely, Md., daughter of the late George and Martha (Wright) Holmes. Lillian had worked in factories, canneries and was also a custodian for many schools. She loved music, dancing, traveling and visiting family. Lillian was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. Flamer Sr. in 1969; a son, Alvin Flamer in 2006; and a sister, Esther Powell in 1992. She is survived by three daughters, Arlene Flamer of Dover, Cheryl Flamer of Milford, and Charlotte Flamer of Denton, Md.; a son, William F. Flamer Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa.; a brother, Philip Wright of Felton; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Services will be noon, Friday, June 4, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier.
