Lena Marie Corder

DOVER - Lena Marie Corder, of Dover passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, April 18, 2016. Lena was born in Vienna, Md., the daughter of the late Lloyd B. and Viola (Willey) Bell. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She worked as a secretary for the Division of Professional Regulation before retiring after 16 years with the State of Delaware. While the boys were young, Lena drove a school bus for Dawson's Bus Service for 15 years. She also volunteered for many years for the Delaware Board of Veterinary Medicine. Lena enjoyed baking, canning, bookkeeping and loved to sew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Bobby T. Corder in 2011 and her son Gary K. Corder in November 2015. She is survived by her sons, Ron Corder and his wife, Wanda, of Felton; Geri Corder and his wife Terri, of Greenwood; and her three granddaughters, Kaitlyn N. Corder, of Felton, Darian A. Corder and Brooke A. Corder, both of Greenwood. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE where funeral services follow at 12 noon. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
