Lawrence W. Phinney

DOVER - Lawrence W. Phinney, of Dover, 58, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Christiana Medical Center, Newark. He was born on July 23, 1952, in Brockton, Mass., to William and Elaine (Philbrick) Phinney. Larry worked at Kraft Foods for 30 years. He loved riding his Harley! He also enjoyed camping, dancing, NASCAR, drag racing, and the New England Patriots. He was preceded in death by his father, William Phinney. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kathy J. Phinney of Dover; mother, Elaine Ann Phinney of Dover; son and his wife, Jim and Carolyn Phinney of Dover; son, Jason Phinney and his fiance Joanne of Dover; grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Mason, and Trevor; uncle, Sheldon Phinney; and his four-legged daughter, Brandy. Memorial Services will be 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Cheswold Vol. Fire Co., PO Box 186, Cheswold, DE 19936.
