MILLSBORO - Laury Franklin, of Millsboro, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at her home. She was 65.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late David and Lee (Jacobs) Silverman.
She was a homemaker.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry D. Franklin Sr., in 2007.
She is survived by her children, Stacey Wetzstein and her husband Fred of Fenwick Island, Boomer Maiorano of Frankford, and Jill Maiorano Stoeckel and her husband Chris of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Peter M. Silverman of Bethany Beach; six grandchildren, Jordan, Tony, Ryan, Mia, Shawn and Brent; a niece, Karen Sue Franklin and her daughter, Samantha; her hospice caregiver and family friend, Todd Karrick; and caregiver, Jai Mohler.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Millsboro Wesleyan Church, 255 Wilson Highway, Millsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Laury's memory to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
