LINCOLN - Laura Reeder passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Bayhealth, Milford Memorial Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Irving and Ellamae (Adams) Schaeffer. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and son, Allen Sykes. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Sykes of Lincoln and William Sykes of Georgetown; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE.
