DOVER - Laraine (Healy) Harris a lifelong Dover resident, left this world on October 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, David N. Harris, and her parents, Wilson and Connie Healy. Mrs. Harris is survived by two daughters, Angela Lewandowski and her husband Patrick of Dover and Lori Lynn Fisher; two grandchildren, Salvatore Illiano of Newark, along with his wife, Lauren, Celsi Illiano and her partner Sunny Patel of Princeton, NJ; and two great-grandchildren, Carina and Damian Illiano of Newark.
Mrs. Harris graduated in 1962 from Dover High School and married David, a U.S. Air Force weatherman, who was transferred to several bases before returning to Dover AFB, where Mrs. Harris began a 35-year Civil Service career, moving from secretary to Chief, Housing Flight of the base housing office.
Mrs. Harris was a member of First Baptist Church in Dover and the Red Hats Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may gather one hour before.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA. 22116-7023.
