Landis Jean Horseman, 61
GEORGETOWN - Landis Jean Horseman, age 61, of Georgetown, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was daughter of the late Frank Sr., and Reba (Sweeny) Tallent. A son, Frank Tunis, preceded her in death. She was a nurse's aid, wonderful grandmother and loved helping people. She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Horseman; three children, Jeffrey Tunis and Melisa Coffin, Rebecca Jene McKinney and Herbert E. Tunis, all of Georgetown; two brothers, Frank Tallent of Georgetown, and John Tallent of Sumpter, S.C; three sisters, Joan Wise and Terry Tallent, both of Georgetown, and Marie Landon of Bridgeville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21, in the chapel of Short Funeral Service, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1138 Parsons Rd., Salisbury, MD 21801.
