L. Amelia 'Penny' Carmine, 84
MILLSBORO - L. Amelia "Penny" Carmine of Millsboro died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro. She was 84.
Mrs. Carmine was the daughter of the late George A. Sr. and Ellen (Pepper) Penuel.
She worked 20 years in the Stockley Center. She retired from employment with Sussex County.
Mrs. Carmine was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., George A. Penuel Memorial Disabled American Veterans Post, Millsboro, Ladies Auxiliary Post 7422, Georgetown Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a lifetime member and past commander of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Millsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elias G. Carmine Sr., in 1993.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law, Benjamin A. and Susan Carmine of Newark, Donald B. and Natasha Carmine of Newark and Elias G. Jr. and Patricia Carmine of Millsboro; two daughters, Rebecca C. McCarty of Lewes and Joan E. Carmine of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Robert Hudson will officiate.
