HARRINGTON - Kori Lynn Minner of Harrington died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 17.

She was born in Milford to Dickie and Debora Minner of Harrington.

Kori was a senior at Lake Forest High School where art was her favorite course.

She looked forward to graduating in the spring, so she could attend the Pressley Beauty Academy and become a licensed beautician, something that she always wanted to do.

Kori worked at the Kottage Kafe in Harrington in the deli section, alongside her grandparents, after school and on weekends.

It was on her way to work Saturday morning when she swerved to avoid hitting a dog, that she had her accident.

Kori was an animal lover and loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs, cats, and horses.

Kori was a typical teenager, and loved to hang out with her girlfriends, listen to music, and playing on her computer.

She enjoyed taking care of herself and loved to go tanning and get her nails done.

She loved to shop and loved to go to the mall.

Kori would never buy anything unless it was on sale or a good bargain.

Kori loved her car, and was proud of the fact that it was one of a kind.

No one else around had the same color, style and graphics as her.

She will be remembered as a free spirit, someone who held nothing back.

If she said she was going to do something, she did it.

Kori also had a kind and generous heart.

She was always bringing something home for her mother and sister.

She loved her family dearly, and will forever be missed by her family and close friends.

Kori was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harry Dickie Minner.

In addition to parents, she is survived by her sister, Kacie Lynn Minner of Harrington; maternal grandparents, Jack and Bertha Wyatt of Harrington; paternal grandmother, Louise Minner of Harrington; great-grandfather Louder McMullen of Harrington; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

Arrangements by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
