MILTON - Kimala A. Preston passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
Kimala was born in St. Louis, Mo. to Jimmy and Barbara (Smith) Sanford. She moved with her family to Delaware where she loved to spend time with her dogs. She was a very quiet and private person, but she had a good heart and would help anybody with anything.
In addition to her parents; she is survived by her sister, Sally Wingo; brother, Jeffrey Sanford; niece, Jennifer (Charles) Melson; nephew, Alan Wingo; and her great-niece, McKenzie Melson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Milton Oddfellows.
