Kenneth Gosser, 68
DOVER - Kenneth Gosser of Dover died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. He was 68.
Mr. Gosser was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Wilmington to the late Charles Gosser and Mabel Riehms Gosser.
Mr. Gosser served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He worked for the Wheatley Co. in their Campbell Soup and Hanover Foods divisions for many years and was a horse trainer for many local standardbred horse owners and drivers.
He was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association and the Delaware Standardbred Association. He enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, golfing and watching football and golf.
Mr. Gosser was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Jayne Allen Gosser on March 13, 2005.
Mr. Gosser is survived by his son, Kenneth "Kenny" Gosser and his companion Linda Whitman of Kenton; his daughter, Noelle Poore and her husband Scott of Dover; three brothers, James Gosser and his wife Melanie of Magnolia, Charles Gosser of Georgia, and Wayne Davis and his wife Joan of Dover; his sister Marie Shockley and her husband Ralph of Dover; his two grandchildren, Camille and Matthew Poore and his best friend Brian Covey of Milford.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, 2928 Sharon Hills Road, Dover.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Standardbred Owners Association, 830 Walkers Square, Suite 11-2, Dover, DE 19904.
