SMYRNA - Kenneth Conway Gray lost his Long battle with Cancer on Saturday, March, 19 2016. Kenneth lived in Smyrna and spent winters in Estero, Fla. with friends and family. Kenneth was born June 3, 1940 and was the son of the late Leroy Fred and Dorothea (Dot) Gray. Ken is survived by his wife, Grace; two sons, Kenneth W. Gray and his significant other, Marina Marconi from Fla., and Marc Gray and his wife, Melissa from Smyrna. Ken had five grandchildren, Kristopher, Kyle, Giavonni George, Nico George and Jesse W. Gray. Ken also left behind several siblings, Jimmy Gray and wife, Marie of Lincoln, Charlie Gray of Tenn., Dottie Brown and husband, Chuck Brown of Cape Coral, Fla., June Washburn and husband, Frank of Okla.; and many friends, coworkers and customers from Rothwells Garage and BCP Smyrna where he has worked since March 1, 1962, holding jobs in the parts department to Salesman and General Manager. Ken was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church since 1946 where he was very active having over 20 years of leadership as head of trustees, among many other jobs. Ken and his wife Grace have spent countless hours organizing the concession stands for the Smyrna High School sporting events for over 30 years. A viewing will be held on Saturday, March, 26 2016, where friends and family may visit between 11 am and 1 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 W. Mt. Vernon Street, Smyrna, DE 19977, with a celebration of Ken's life to start at 1 pm and burial to follow at Glenwood Cemetery Smyrna, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ken's name can be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or the Smyrna School District, 82 Monrovia Ave., Smyrna, DE 19977, Attn: Debbie Wicks, for a scholarship to be established in his name.
