PONDTOWN, Md. - Kennard Franklin Lee of Pondtown, affectionately called, "Little Kennard," passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. He was 71.
Mr. Lee was born June 20, 1935, in Pondtown, son of the late James Kennard and Ethel Isabell Lee.
He received his early education in the Queen Anne's County public school system. He successfully completed high school requirements and graduated from Kennard High School in 1953.
Mr. Lee served his country with pride in the armed forces and received an honorable discharge April 1958. He went on to become employed with the Defense Commissary Agency and was acknowledged with certificates of commendation.

He will be missed by those whose lives he touched. He was a fun-loving individual and enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting and bowling. Bowling was his passion. He loved to travel and participate in bowling tournaments. His expertise and skill enabled him to be the recipient of numerous bowling trophies which he proudly displayed. He was looking forward to competing in a championship bowling tournament in May.
Mr. Lee was a caring and devoted son as he patiently and tirelessly shared the responsibility with his brother, Adolphus, taking care of their aging mother. He never complained about his own feelings and health.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Ethel Lee of Pondtown; a brother, Adolphus Lee of Pondtown; a sister, Ida Mae Clark of Millington; a special friend, Mary Cummings of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
