BRIDGEVILLE - Kathy Ann Watkins, age 40, of Bridgeville, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at her residence. She was born on June 22, 1971, in Seaford, daughter of Paul Edwin and Peggy Ann (Sammons) Jester of Greenwood. Ms. Watkins grew up in the Bridgeville and Federalsburg, Md., area, attending Colonel Richardson High School, Federalsburg, in the late 80's. She dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker taking care of her loving children. Through many difficult times she was always available to her family and friends in any way she could help. Ms. Watkins was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, companion and friend who will be missed by so many. In addition to her parents, Ms. Watkins is survived by her loving companion of 11 years, Gary Lynn Willoughby of Bridgeville; two sons, Alan W. Watkins of Magnolia, and Garrett G. Willoughby of Bridgeville; two sisters, Dawn T. Hurley of Secretary, Md., and Michelle L. Wheatley of Greenwood; lifelong friend, Mae Starr of Seaford, known by Kathy as, "Big Sis"; dog, Taco; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A Celebration of Ms. Watkins Life will be 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, where friends may visit beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist in defraying funeral expenses, C/O Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium.
