DOVER - Kathryn Loree Mancuso, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Deborah Harvey. She was 88. She was born on July 26, 1923, in Woodruff, South Carolina, one of 11 children, daughter of the late Ott and Minerva (Goodwin) McAbee. Kathryn was a homemaker who loved to entertain, garden and feed the birds. She was an avid duplicate bridge player achieving the level of Gold Life Master. Kathryn is survived by her five children, Michael L. Mancuso of Lewes, Judy K. Vetter and her husband Richard of Dover, Ann M. Rigby and her husband Harry of Dover, John G. Mancuso and his wife, Pamela of Lewes, Deborah S. Harvey and her husband John of Dover; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Mancuso of Burlington, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, Molly M. Keehn, Melissa M. Mancuso, Megan M. Mancuso, Stephen P. Thimmes, Gregory L. Thimmes, Amy Rigby- Metz, Michele L. Mihok, Holly Mancuso-Wood, John L. Mancuso, Katherine L. Hughes and Jeffrey P. Harvey; and ten great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Burial will be private in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
