MILFORD - On January 22, 2021 Kathleen L. Betts, peacefully passed away at her home with her husband and daughters by her side.
She was born on August 8, 1947 in Flushing, N.Y. to the late Geraldine Mattingly.
Kathy's family was always her utmost priority and always put their needs in front of her own. She took great pride in hosting the family's Christmas celebration every year when all of her family members were together. Kathy's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a huge animal lover; her dogs were her "kids" and in recent years developed a relationship with the squirrels in the backyard training them to climb up her leg and take peanuts right out of the palm of her hands.
Her employment varied throughout the years as she was not one to sit behind a desk, she would rather be active which resulted in jobs ranging from bartending and waitressing in the early days then on to construction and settled in retail before retiring.
Kathy is survived by her husband, whom she was with for 36 years, Gordon C. Betts, Jr. She is also survived by her daughters, Kimberly Dubois and Melanie Kelsall; grandchildren, Tara-Lynn Dubois, Dylan Kelsall and Tyler Kelsall; as well as her step-children, Timmy Betts and Jessica Betts; and step-grandchildren, Damian Betts, and Aliyah Betts.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave. from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Please bring masks as they are required.
