Hastings, 87 SEAFORD - Kathleen Hearn Hastings died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at LifeCare at Lofland Park. Born in Cannon the daughter of Iva Boyce and Walter Hearn. She was retired from DuPont Co., drove a school bus and was a seamstress. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and Seaford Senior Center; she enjoyed yard-work and she was a volunteer at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lofland Park for their care and support. She is survived by three sons, Keith W. Truitt, John Craig Truitt and Glenn K. Truitt, all of Seaford; two daughters, Pamela L. Dean of Blades and Sandra K. Hollaway of Georgetown; two brothers, Warren Hearn of Seaford and Hollis Hearn of Selbyville. two stepchildren, Kelley Hastings Jr. and Keith Hastings, both of Laurel; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Weston Truitt in 1971, and her second husband, Kelley Theodore Hastings Sr. in 2002; four sisters, Mildred Lloyd, Evelyn Marvil, Isabelle Chandler and Doris Wilson; five brothers, Chester, Francis, Lee, Manning and Boyce Hearn. Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Watson Yates Funeral Home, Front & King Sts., Seaford, DE, where friends may call from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM prior to the service. The Reverend Linsey Wessell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Concord United Methodist Women, 12482 Baker Mill Road, Seaford, DE 19973. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
