PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Karl H. Vogel Jr. of Port St. Lucie, formerly of Hurlock, Md., passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, July 14, 2007. He was 47.
Mr. Vogel was born in Easton, Md., on Oct. 16, 1959, and was the son of Karl Heinz Sr. and Marie (Ratcliffe) Vogel.
He attended schools in North Dorchester, Md.
Mr. Vogel worked at Western Publishing for several years, and later for Solo Cup in Federalsburg, Md., and also Don Lee Martin in Seaford, Del.
For the past seven years he made his home in Florida where he had worked for Lowe"s and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.
Mr. Vogel enjoyed music and working on the computer.
Survivors include his mother and father, Karl H. Vogel Sr. and Marie R. Vogel of Hurlock; two brothers, Phillip D. Vogel of Duncannon, Pa., and William M. Vogel Sr. of Hurlock; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Cambridge, Md., with Troy Glessner officiating. A visitation will be an hour before the service.
Interment will follow at the East New Market (Md.) Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Vogel Sr., William Vogel Jr., Phillip Vogel, Richard Meritt, John Ratcliffe and Calvert Stewart.
