GEORGETOWN - Joseph L. Longfellow, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2017, at his home. Mr. Longfellow was born on July 14, 1945, to the late John W. and Edna (Truitt) Longfellow. He worked as a supervisor, at Media com, for 44 years. He is survived by his children, Donna Elliott, of Seaford, Joe Longfellow Jr., of Georgetown; Tina Longfellow, of Arnold, MD; and Jack Longfellow, of Seaford; 3 brothers, John Vincent Longfellow, of Wyoming; Floyd Longfellow, of Felton, and Charles Longfellow, of Middletown; his sister, Dorothy Williams, of Camden; as well as 10 grandchildren and five great-grand children. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 4, 2017, at 7 p.m., in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, DE 19943, where friends may call after 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the funeral home, in an effort to defray funeral expenses.
