Joseph "Joeboy" Guy, 70

DOVER - Joseph "Joeboy" Guy of Dover died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, in Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill after a lengthy illness. He was 70.

Mr. Guy was born Nov. 18, 1936, son of the late Ina Henry and Carlton Guy.

He worked in construction and farming in the Dover area.

In his spare time, Mr. Guy enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and granddaughters, Jessica and Corissa and playing with his dog, Angel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Melody Guy and Petite Guy; a granddaughter; a sister, Mary Wright; and a brother, Donnie Guy.

He is survived by his wife, J. Diane Guy of Dover; a son, Joseph Guy Jr. of Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam Guy and Melissa and James H. White, all of Dover; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Carlton Guy of New Castle, Carl and Ruby Guy and Raymond and Brenda Guy, all of Smyrna and Carliss and Marsha Guy of Dover, William and Pearl Guy of Dover; a brother, Timothy Guy of Dover; a brother-in-law, George Wright of Smyrna; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Geraldine Marsh of Dover, Irene and Carl Bibbins, Joybeth Guy, Bonnie and Robert Rowe, Levonne and Clyde Graves and Levette and William Dunning, all of Dover; seven grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles and nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
