Haeussler, 75 DOVER - Joseph Charles Haeussler of Dover passed away at home Friday, June 19, 2015. He was 75. Mr. Haeussler was born February 5, 1940 in Queens, New York to the late Joseph Haeussler and Anna Nimrichter Haeussler. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Mr. Haeussler retired after 34 years, from the New York City Transit Authority as a car inspector. Mr. Haeussler is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dagmar Stieger Haeussler of Dover; daughters, Athena Tara Mercer and her husband Richard Andrew of Monks Corner, S.C., Serena Alexis Haeussler of Dover; brother, Edward Joseph Haeussler of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister, Edna Patricia Rimmer and her husband Dr. Micheal Bruce of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandchildren, Kayla Dagmar Mercer of Dover and Richard Dale Mercer of Monks Corner, S.C.; aunt, Louise Nimrichter Morera and her husband Frank of Falls Church, Va.; cousin, Jean Heisig of Long Island – Commack, N.Y.; niece Nicole Rimmer Rodriguez; nephew, Micheal Rimmer; great niece, Ava Rodriguez and great nephew Taylor Rodriguez all of Bakersfield, Calif. Memorial services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
