MARYDEL, Md. - Joseph A. Godfrey Sr. passed away on November 4, 2014 with his dedicated wife Rosie at his side. Born in Audubon, N.J., resided in Marydel, Md. since 1972. Joseph worked in construction & farming for many years. He took much pride in his garden & farm animals which he loved teaching his granddaughters about. Joseph is survived by his wife, Roseann Godfrey; his sons, Joseph Jr. & wife Stacy Godfrey of Smyrna, Johnathan & James Godfrey of Marydel; five granddaughters, Elizabeth, Victoria, Jazmyn, Alyssa & Avery; his parents, Milton & Ann Godfrey of Marydel; brothers, George & wife Sharon Godfrey of Greensboro, Gerry & wife Cathy Godfrey of Marydel, Tom & wife Martha Godfrey of Denton. Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth; and his grandparents. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church of Smyrna, 1575 Bryn Zion Rd., Smyrna, DE 19977.
