John Wilkins Clark

SUDLERSVILLE, - John Wilkins Clark, died on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Chester River Hospital Center. Mr. Clark was born on March 13, 1924, in Chews Landing, N.J. He was the son of the late John and Martha Derr Clark. In 1948 he married Evelyn Clark. They moved from Mt. Laurel, New Jersey to Sudlersville in 1966 where he continued farming. He was a member of the Sudlersville Ruritans. Mr. Clark loved farming which he had done all of his life. He also loved hunting, especially deer hunting and listening to fox hounds, traveling, and dancing at the VFW. He is survived by his son, Jack Clark of Barclay, Md.; his daughter, Beverly Clark of Sudlersville, Md.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn C. Clark; and three sons, Elwood "Snapper" Clark, Derr Clark and Philip Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. 370 West Cypress Street Millington, MD. where relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m.. Interment will be in Sudlersville Cemetery in Sudlersville, MD. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
