MILFORD - John T. 'Jack' Pierson, of Milford and Slaughter Beach, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family after a long fight with C.O.P.D. Jack was the son of the late John and Minna Lou (Moorefield) Pierson. He was a graduate of Ridley Park High School in 1956. After he graduated, he entered the U.S. Navy serving from 1956 until 1959. He married Barbara Rambo in 1960. Jack worked as an electrician in Research and Development at Boeing Vertol for 29 years, then retired to Slaughter Beach, Del. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, keeping his mind active by reading math books and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Pierson, in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara 'Bobbi' Pierson; one son, John Pierson and his fiancée', Margie Jester, of Milford; three sisters, Nancy Allen of Trainer, Pa, Peggy Easter, of Gainseville, Fla., and Ruthie Turner, of Perryville, Md.; and three grandchildren, Holly Pierson, Brooke Pierson and Jackie Pierson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
