LYNCH, Md. - Mr. Budd Nicholson of Lynch died Wednesday May 9, 2012 in his daughter's home in Millington. He was 87. Mr. Nicholson was born in Betterton the son of the late Oliver Clinton and Margaret LeSage Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson was an Electrician and Plumber and worked with his father and brother in Nicholson Supply and Service Co. and then operated "Budd's" Plumbing and Electric. Following his retirement Mr. Budd worked as an Electrical consultant for Angelica Nurseries until his health forced his full retirement. Mr. Nicholson was a proud United States Army veteran serving in WWII in The Southern Philippines, Hawaii and Okinawa. He was a Life member of the Frank Jarman American Legion Post 36 in Chestertown, Md. He also served for many years on the Kent County Electrical Board. Mr. Nicholson enjoyed collecting Hess trucks, vintage model cars and trains. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca "Becky" O'Neal Nicholson; one daughter, Chris Renee Clough and her husband Lee of Millington; one son, John Oliver Nicholson of Reisterstown; seven granddaughters, Diane Nicholson Carpenter of Indiana, Elizabeth-Ann Dockery of Arizona, Khara Hurst of Edgewood, Jennifer Nicholson of Edgewood, Stacey M. Clough of Millington, Lauren R. Nicholson of Edgewood, and Shelby E. Clough of Millington; eight great grandchildren, Dana, Eddie, Maddie, Grant, Jason, Logan, Emily and Noah; one brother, Edward H. Nicholson of Chestertown; and one sister, Margaret Ann Nicholson Robinson and her husband Ray of Florida and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nicholson is preceded in death by a great grandson, Shawn Patrick Nicholson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., on Tuesday May 15, 2012 in the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Rd. Chestertown. Where friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2012. Interment will follow services with Military Honors in the Still Pond Cemetery, Still Pond. In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to the American Heart Assoc. P.O.
