John S. Moore, 67

SMYRNA - John S. Moore, of Smyrna, passed away on Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 67. He was born in Salem Co., N.J., the son of the late William H. and Sara Moore. Mr. Moore was employed as a farmer all of his life, and most recently, worked at Valour Farms, Smyrna. He enjoyed watching westerns and listening to old-time country music. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Elsie Marie Moore. He is survived by two sons, John G. Moore and his wife Jacqueline of Bedford, Va., and Jeffrey Moore of Smyrna; a daughter, Jaclyn Moore of Smyrna; two brothers, William Moore of Newark, and Robert Moore of Idaho; and five sisters, Catherine Proud of Sudlersville, Md., Barbara Wright of Middletown, Sally Akin of Cambridge, Md., Elizabeth Fauconniere of Georgia, and Sharon Sheets of Smyrna. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood Ave. and N. Main St., Smyrna. To send a condolence letter, contact www.delmarvaobits.com.
