GREENWOOD - John M. "Jack" O'Bier passed away peacefully on 11 June 2016 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born in Greenwood, the son of the late Merle E. and Catherine G. O'Bier. After his graduation in 1954 from Greenwood High School he enlisted in the USAF for four years. He was later employed with DuPont Company for seven years and retired from Middle Dept. Inspection Agency Company as an electrical inspector. He served many years as a trustee of Todd's Chapel and Todd's Community Building. John and his wife, Jean, owned and operated their antique shop for 46 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and the antique business. John will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Jean, of 56 years, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl T., Donald M., and Robert G. O'Bier; and three sisters, Doris H. Hall, Norma Jean Sipple, and Betty Moore, all of Greenwood. Services will be held on Wednesday, 15 June 2016, at 1 p.m., at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, De 19950. Friends may call one hour prior to service. His interment will held at the St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Todd's Chapel, I/C Nancy Smith, 6891 Scott Store Road, Greenwood.
