John E. Lowman Jr., 54

KENTON - John E. Lowman Jr., of Kenton, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at home. He was 54. Mr. Lowman was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Dover, to the late John E. Lowman Sr. and Jeanne M. Marsh Lowman. He lived in the Smyrna/Kenton area all his life. He was a self employed carpenter for the last 25 years retiring March of 2009. Mr. Lowman enjoyed fishing, crabbing and working on cars. He loved being with friends and family at gatherings and especially loved being with his granddaughter, Chelsea. Mr. Lowman is survived by his wife of 33 years, Helen Gee Lowman of Kenton; his son, John E. Lowman III of Kenton; brother, Michael Lowman of Woodland Beach; his sister, Suzanne Tippitt of Dover; and his granddaughter, Chelsea Quinn of Midlothian, Texas. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
