BEAR - Joanne M. Johnson, "Dolly" of Bear, passed away suddenly due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on July 25, 2014 at the age of 67. Dolly enjoyed working the past 11 years for the News Journal. She had a good heart and a love for everyone that she knew. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles F. "Brother" Sayers, Jr.; and her sister, Judy Riley. She is survived by her two sons, Curtis Potter and William Potter; seven grandchildren; and four sisters, Jackie Megginson, Jerry Wickkiser, Joyce Graham and Jean Smith. A visitation will be 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
