LEWES - Joanna Margaret (Livering) Schools of Lewes passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 72.
She was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Lebanon, Pa., daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Regina (Haulman) Livering.
Mrs. Schools was a member of American Legion Post 17 Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society's "Scarlett Ladies" of Lewes.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald E. Schools; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Edward and Lise Schools of Okimos, Mich., Gerald Jr. and Kathryn Schools of Lebanon and Richard and Amy Schools of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynn and Arthur "Jack" Heisey of Jonestown, Pa., Anita Schools of Lewes and Karen and Verne Lee of Valparaiso, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Gary and Judy Livering of Levittown, Pa., Theodore Jr. and Christine Livering of Lebanon and John Livering and Craig and Sharon Livering, all of Allentown, Pa.; and two sisters, Doris Williams of Hellertown, Pa., and Darlene Rompilla of White Hall, Pa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Charlie Arnold will officiate.
The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the home of Lynn Heisey in Jonestown.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to American Legion Post 17 Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Road, Lewes, DE 19958; or to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
