JoAnn (Hainley) Imler, 84
JoAnn (Hainley) Imler of Bedford went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2021.
She was born on November 13, 1936 in Hyndman, a daughter of the late Loretta (Hainley) Twigg. On November 13, 1954, in Cumberland, Md., she married her beloved soul mate Cletus E. Imler and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2016.
She is survived by her children, a daughter, Lori B. Imler of Fishertown; a son, Cletus L. Imler and wife Michelle of Bedford and a daughter, Lyn M. Mock and husband Michael also of Bedford; four grandchildren, Ashley Norris and husband Nick, Michael Mock and Jordyn and Nick Imler.
JoAnn was a loving and protective mother and a proud military wife. She enjoyed volunteering in many various organizations that included NCO Wives Club, USO, Red Cross, Lioness, and the American Legion Aux Post #113. She opened her home and heart to several foster children in the Delaware and Pennsylvania area. She was also a professional seamstress and avid gardener. During her lifetime she had the pleasure of living in multiple states as well as Okinawa, Japan, but always considered Delaware her home, and this is where her and her husband owned and operated C & S Home Service for many years. JoAnn also owned and operated Pine Ridge Video located in Alum Bank. She was raised in the Manns Choice Church of God and attended the Dover Baptist Temple in Delaware.
Funeral Services will be held private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
