DOVER - Joan C. Eder, of Dover, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, in her home. She was 79. Joan was born September 22, 1934, in Ontario, California, to the late, Keith & Rosebell (Lindsey) Cook. Joan had worked for 30 years with Farmers Insurance Company, before retiring. She enjoyed reading and loved animals. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Eder, who died in 1999; a grandson, Marc Blanchard, Jr.; and great-grandson, Gabrien O. Marra. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Lynn Bryant & husband, Calvin, of Dover; two sons, Marc K. Blanchard, of Dover and David T. Blanchard, Sr., & wife, Cheryl, of Mantecca, California; her brother, Kenneth David Cook, of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and twin great-great grandchildren. No services will be held here in Delaware. Joan's cremains will be taken to California, to be placed with her late husband at a later date.
