Jeannette W. Bennett

BRIDGEVILLE - Jeannette W. Bennett, age 87, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was born on May 18, 1924, in Cambridge, Md., daughter of the late Arcy Wheatley and Mabel Kinder Wheatley. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Union United Methodist Church Bridgeville, and an avid Bridge Player. She is survived by her husband, Jack H. Bennett; two sons, Robert G. Adams of Unityville, Pa., and Stephen G. Adams of Lancaster, Pa.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Thursday at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, with the Rev. R. Jervis Cooke and Chaplain Barbara Wilson officiating. Interment will be private in Bethel Cemetery at Oak Grove. Memorial contributions may be sent to Union United Methodist Church, 2 North Laws Street, Bridgeville; or the American Diabetes Association, 110 South French Street, Suite 400 Wilmington, DE 19801.
