Jeanette M. Carey

Milford - On Sept. 19, 2018, Jeanette M. Carey, peacefully passed away at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1930 in Greenwood to the late Elmer and Mildred Messick.
Mrs. Carey worked hard as a mother raising her children, and helping her husband, George Carey, run as Representative of the 36th District.
She was a member of the Century Club, Women's Republican Club, and Slaughter Neck U.M.C.
Jeanette enjoyed playing bridge, going to the beach, and traveling.
Mrs. Carey was preceded in death by her husband, George Carey; and her daughter, Karen S. Carey-Wilkerson.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dale and Cynthia Carey, and Dennis Carey, all of Milford; her son-in-law, James H. Wilkerson of Milford; two grandchildren, Ty J. Wilkerson, and Blake W. Carey and his wife Kimberly; and two great grandchildren, Kenzie Carey and Grady Carey.
Services are private.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Jeanette's memory be made to the Slaughter Neck United Methodist Church, c/o Ethel Graham, 10266 Coastal Hwy, Milford, DE 19963.
