Jeanette Harrington

HARRINGTON - Jeanette Harrington passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018. She was the daughter of the late, Preston and Mary Sapp.
Jeanette was a graduate of Harrington High School. She was a retired head teller of 25 years for People's and Wilmington Trust Banks of Harrington. She was also a faithful member of the Calvary Wesleyan Church.
Jeanette enjoyed camping with the Delaware Travelers Good Sam Club, word searches, taking care of her home, gardening, and cooking for the whole family. She was a devoted Christian, who always thought of everyone else over herself, and never complained about anything. She was very outgoing, and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother, George "Jackie" Sapp.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gary Harrington; sons, Gary "Punky" (Cheryl) Harrington, John (Lorrie) Harrington; daughter, Gwen (Dickie) Thompson; grandchildren, Garrett Harrington, Kristin Harrington, Ashley (Matt) Hill, Kasey (Chris) Revel, Gavin (Connie) Harrington, Colby (Mary Beth) Harrington, Troy (Dana) Harrington; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at 1 p.m. A visitation for family and friends will take place wo hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
