DOVER - Jason N. Crump, of Dover, departed this life Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 29.
He was born July 9, 1978, in Dover to Michele Crump Bryant and Joseph N. Morris.
Jason received his education in the Capital School District and at Polytech High School and was employed by the Eagle Group in Smyrna.
Jason loved the game of baseball and started playing T-ball as a young boy and continued progressing to the senior league.
He also enjoyed fishing, playing computer games and most of all spending time with family and friends.
At an early age, Jason attended Union Baptist Church with his Pop Pop Thomas Morris.
He later attended First Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board.
He was a loving son, father, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend.
Jason was a delight to be around.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Yvonne Crump; cousins, Harold Crump and Denise Curd Stratton; uncle, Richard Durham; and aunt, Edna Sanders.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Michele Crump Bryant and her husband Dean of Florida; father, Joseph Morris and wife Chastine of Dover; his daughter, Jasmine Meyers of Dover; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Gladys Morris; sister, Machita Y. Crump; brother, Derrick Scott and his wife Valeria; stepbrother, Darell Scott, all of Dover; aunts Dolores Mays, Sandora Crump and Loretta Morris; uncles Michael Crump and Ernest Crump; a special friend, Angela Erwin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A viewing will be 5-8 p.m. today in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Union Baptist Church in Dover, where friends may call two hours prior.
