Jamie L. Phillips, only son of Laura Phillips & Gregory Cannon, passed away at age 33 from a single car crash in Seaford, DE on May 14, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1990.
He is survived by his parents, Laura L. Phillips of Seaford, DE and Gregory Cannon of Longneck, DE. Sandra Deloach & son Mark Phillips were close relatives & friends to Jamie. Melissa was his long time girl friend. Jamie treated her children like his own.
"Topac the Rapper" was Mr. Phillips favorite musical artist. In fact, his last text to his mother on Sunday reflected many of Topac's lyrics. Pit bull dogs, the Eagles Football team and basketball were well liked by him. Jamie also played sports when he was younger & went to Seaford High School.
Mr. J.L. Phillips has a large extended family. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Cannon; and maternal grandparents, George & Evelyn Phillips. Aunt Anne Phillips & Uncle George Phillips have also passed. Those still living include: 3 uncles, Thomas Phillips, Lonnie Phillips, & Douglas Phillips; 2 aunts, Phyllis Phillips & Martha Phillips; 1 stepbrother, Greg Cannon; 3 stepsisters, Cheryl Cannon, Althea Cannon, Sherita Cannon & several nieces, nephews, cousins & childhood friends.
