Hartly - James W. Silves passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Silves was born in Oil City, Pa. the son of the late James E. and Nancy A. (Kay) Silves.
Mr. Silves worked as a foreman for Voshell Brothers Construction.
He enjoyed spoiling his grandkids, hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Silves is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Theresa Williams Silves; sons, Jamie (Bri) Silves of Hartly and Jesse Silves (Melissa) of Clayton; grandchildren, Hailey and Raelynn Silves of Hartly, Dominic Silves of Oklahoma, Cheyenne and Blake Silves of Clayton; sister, Cindy Poore (Leroy) of Dover, sister, Janice Silves of Dover; brother, Kenny Silves (Cheryl) of Hartly; sister, Nicolette Ortiz (Pedro) of Smyrna; several nieces and nephews; and other kids that called him Pop.
A funeral service will be at 12 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at Maranatha Fellowship Church, 60 Deer Track Lane, Dover, DE 19904, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will be in Thomas Chapel Cemetery, Chapeltown.
