DOVER - James F. Cerillo Jr., of Dover, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.

James was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late James and Lavinia (Curtin) Cerillo.

He lived in Walton, N.Y., for 20 years before moving to Farmington for 30 years and for the last five years lived in Dover.

James served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a wholesaler selling trees, flowers and plants.

James was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign, American Legion of Walton, N.Y., Dover Elks and Shawnee Country Club.

He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Grace Cerillo; three children, Matthew W. Cerillo of Harrington, Timothy R. Cerillo of Charleston, S.C., and Monica G. Cerillo of Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters, Lavinia Gagliardi of Harrington, Ellen Younghans of Milford and Jane Cunningham of Harrington; seven grandchildren, Tobias Cerillo of Seaford, Melissa Cerillo-Murphy of Felton, Christina Cerillo of Harrington, Patricia Cerillo of Seaford, Johnathan Cerillo of Charleston, Caitlin Cerillo of Birmingham, and Madelin Cerillo of Birmingham; five great-grandchildren, Dominic Cerillo, Vinny Murphy, both of Felton, Tobias and Travis Cerillo, both of Seaford, and Alexa Clowes of Harrington; 10 nieces; five nephews; six stepchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; many cousins; one aunt; and stepmother, Kathryn Smaling.

A memorial service will be held from 3-6 p.m. today in the Harrington Moose Lodge, Harrington.

Please no flowers or donations. Friends and family welcome.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
